How we encourage the parents to involve themselves in the OSC

We appreciate that many of our parents are busy working or studying but we do encourage them to be involved in the life of the OSC as much as they can in a variety of ways.

Newsletters:

We keep our parents up-to-date with a monthly newsletter letting them know what's going on in the OSC.  Please see our "GOSC News" page for our latest copy.

Parents' Committee:

Our voluntary parent's Committee, made up of parents who's children attend or have attended the OSC, meet approximately every 6 weeks for 1 hour to discuss what's happening in the OSC.

AGM:

All of our parents are welcome along to our AGM, which is an ideal time for them to find out in more detail how the OSC operates.

Question of the month:

Every month we ask the parents and children a specific question and look for their feedback and suggestions.

Fundraising:

As we are non-profit making, any money raised through fundraising events is spent on resources for the children.  Currently we hold an annual Family Fun Day & Christmas raffle and are keen for parents to help us with other activities in any way they can.
